Caritas
Palanca for Koinonia and Cursillo is called Caritas in the FootSteps program. Remember how much those letters, both from those you knew and from caring strangers, moved you on your weekend? Please help make this upcoming weekend special for the candidates and team by remembering them with Caritas!
Caritas consists primarily of letters and small party favor type gifts such as bookmarks, bracelets, and small pieces of candy. We ask that you do not send large wrapped gifts as not all participants receive them, and they do not fit in the bags we give to the teens. At FootSteps, Caritas is only given twice throughout the weekend, once on Saturday afternoon and once on Sunday morning, with each teen receiving their Caritas in a medium sized paper bag.
Important: Please identify letters with both first names and last initials. We often have several Ashleys and/or Aarons! Also, please make several extra Caritas, it is quite common to get last minute additions to our candidate list.
Caritas is able to be dropped off in the church office of Messiah Lutheran Church (2025 Eastern Ave) up until the Thursday before the weekend. After that, Caritas may be dropped off at St. John's Lutheran church starting at 6:30 pm on Friday.
Thank you for supporting our teens!
